Members of the Brownstown High School Class of 1962 gathered for their 60th class reunion July 17 at Stahl’s Cafe and Deli in Brownstown. Front from left are Beverly Sullivan Spoon, Ingrid Bailey Hornback, Renee Butler Kasting, Carol Stark Bales, Betty Stein Gossman, Carol Ann Lubker Rorig, Mary Anne Lowery Bayer, Jennifer Parman Johnson, Shirley Darlage Stuckwisch, Ruth Barnard Brittain and Joe Persinger. Back from left are Alan Snowball, Jim “Buzzy” Morrow, Jim Pierce, Tom Horstman, George Parke Vehslage, Peggy Vehslage Woolf, Tom Lubker, Joe Shields and David Mulberry. Pierce, who was class president in 1962, conducted a brief business meeting, Mulberry led the pledge to the flag and Bales led singing of the “Old BHS” school song and “God Bless America.” Morrow recognized the work of reunion committee members and conducted a memorial service for deceased classmates.
