The Medora Timberjacks played at home for the first time this season after The Basketball League officially started up two weekends ago.
The Timberjacks lost its first game on March 6 to the Kentucky Enforcers, but they followed that up with a home win on Friday night against the Kokomo Bobkats, 117-105.
Marquell Carter had a big night for the Timberjacks, scoring 32 points on the night. Michael Lenoir scored 18, Leonard Harper-Baker had 15, Lattrell Love had 15, Keith Epps had 11 and Jah-Kobe Womack scored 10 for all the double-digit scorers on the night.
Robert Brooks added eight points, Malik Cook-Stroupe six and Dontavious Leak two. The Timberjacks did not trail after any quarter en route to their first win of the season.
On the second night of a back-to-back, the Timberjacks had a barn burner with the Lebanon Leprechauns on Saturday night.
It was no surprise the Leprechauns got lucky this month, coming away with a 98-97 victory.
Love led the Timberjacks with 22 points on the night, Cook-Stroupe scored 17, Womack and Lenoir both had 14 and Harper-Baker had 12.
Carter scored nine, Epps five and Leak four. The Timberjacks trailed after the first and second quarters but held a 76-74 lead heading into the fourth, but Lebanon was able to squeak out the victory.
Both games this weekend had an attendance of 250.
The Timberjacks, now 1-2 on the season, will host the Bobkats again this Friday at 7 p.m. and then host the Owensboro T’breds on Saturday night.
