AUSTIN
Ronald Lee Barger, 68, of Austin, Indiana, passed away the morning of June 11, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.
Ronald was born June 7th, 1953, to Walker Barger and Sophia (Watkins) Barger.
He always held strong to his down-home Southern Kentucky, Hillbilly roots. He loved his dog Ginger, was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed long rides on his Harley Davidson and most of all, loved his family both by blood and by bond.
He was a free spirit, always choosing to ride the dirt road over the smooth path because of a better view. He always chose to follow his heart instead of the rules. His love for his family, friends, and his freedom will never be forgotten.
He was preceded in death by mother, Sophie Watkins, father, Walker Barger, brother, Ferris Barger, brother, Roy Lee Barger, sister Martha Barger, infant daughter Rhonda Barger, Son Jason Barger.
He is survived by sister Lettie Estep, Brother Wilson Barger, sister Della Bailey, daughter Corina (Sheriff) Barger, son Ronald Lee Barger II, Jarred Barger, 9 grandchildren Joseph Perry, Brian Cyrus McCrady, Ronald Lee Barger III, Carson Barger, Phoenix Barger, Lyric Ford, Isaak Barger, Delyla Sheriff, and Wyatt Sheriff.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, son, Jason Barger, daughter, Rhonda Barger.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Voss & Sons Funeral Service from 2-4pm.
In keeping with Ronald’s wishes, cremation services are being provided by Voss & Sons Funeral Service and Crematory.
All arrangements have been entrusted to Voss & Sons Funeral Service in Seymour.
