Timberjacks drop two weekend contests, take break

Trevon Bentley fired in 21 points and the Southern Indiana Timberjacks turned in a first-rate team effort but still could not overcome the firepower of the visiting Pendleton Legends in a 104-102 overtime loss.

The Timerberjacks were edged in the Friday night contest at Medora High School and now have a break for the Hoosier Hardwood Basketball Association All-Star game April 3 before resuming the regular season.

Guard Davian Johnson was next high point-getter for the Timberjacks with 16 points. Center Tommie McCune and forward Trenity Burdine were right behind Johnson with 14 points apiece.

Guard LaJuan Whitney was a fifth double-figure scorer for the home team, adding 11 points.

The other Timberjack scorers were Cameron Walker with 9 points, Markell Bradshaw and Falcon Murray with 7 each and Chris Thomas with 3.
