Richard and Teresa Root of Norman plan to celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary Nov. 8.

Richard and the former Teresa Ross were married Nov. 8, 1975, in Hartsville, Tennessee. They were attended by Kenny Ross, Juanita Ross, Hazel Jaynes and Lou Jaynes.

The couple are the parents of three children, Ricky Root, Connie Root and Denise Root. They have 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Teresa has been a stay-at-home mother and wife to her husband and children. Richard has been employed at Nippon Steel Pipe America Inc. for 22 years.
