The Brownstown Police Department has received some questions about parking along Elm Street for high school football games.

The parking ordinance states no vehicle shall be parked on the west side of Elm Street between the intersection of Bridge Street and Highview Drive alongside the high school football stadium between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday when school is in session. There is a pedestrian walkway on that section of Elm Street during the days and hours specified.

When school is in session, there will be no parking in this area. Once the school buses have exited the school parking lot for dismissal and are no longer on Elm Street, parking can begin for football games along Elm Street.
