The Greater Seymour Chamber of Commerce agribusiness committee will offer a tour of the Rumpke Waste and Recycling facility in Medora.

The tour will be from 9 a.m. to noon Friday. Lunch will immediately following the tour at Gobbler Holler, courtesy of Rumpke Waste and Recycling.

The tour includes a brief history of Rumpke and an explanation of the various types of collection trucks. The bus will travel around the landfill while a trained guide shows guests what happens after garbage leaves their homes. Guests also will learn about the technology used at Rumpke’s recycling facility and see recyclables sorted and separated.

The tour will be limited to the first 40 registrants. The tour is free to all area farmers and chamber members.
