Vernon H. and Nancy A. Johnson of Seymour are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary today. A celebration with friends and family will be conducted at a later date.

Vernon and the former Nancy A. Hodecker were married Nov. 28, 1953, at the home of the bride’s parents in Portland, Oregon.

They are the parents of two children, Karen Johnson (husband, Bruce Munk) of Fishers and Alan Johnson of Indianapolis. They have one grandson, Robert Blake Johnson.

Nancy was employed in the past at The Enchanted Village and Kidz & Co. and Seymour.

Vernon held various positions at American Can Co. and retired after 38 years in 1988.

Both attend First Presbyterian Church in Seymour.
