The 2017 All Seasons Garden Club year began March 6 at Tampico Baptist Church.

Connie Lovins and Sandy Kovener were hostesses for the meeting, attended by 18 people.

Salads and desserts were served. Following the dinner, President Veronica Bowling conducted the business meeting.

Plans were made by for a fun and exciting year enjoying blooming bulbs, perennials and annuals and planning and exchanging ideas for spring planting and summer gardens.

Kovener distributed information from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources regarding an opportunity to volunteer for a monarch habitat project.

Lovins demonstrated making and dyeing coffee filters to create spring flowers.

A flower symbolism game was played, and winners Brenda Turner and Karen Lanam received gifts.

Each member went home with a favor of homemade fudge.

Julie Ballard will host the April 3 meeting at her home. Jeanette Chastain will be co-hostess.
