Crothersville three-way stop brief

0

Crothersville Town Council recently approved a new three-way stop sign at an intersection in town.

Motorists coming up to the intersection of Kovener Street, Benham Avenue and Industrial Way will have to stop in all directions.

Council President Lenvel “Butch” Robinson said the change was made to prevent people from driving fast down Industrial Way, where many semitrailers go to and from the local industries.

The speed limit is 20 mph on Industrial Way and on Preston Street near the Crothersville Community School Corp. building, while it’s 30 mph on most other town streets.

Town attorney Jeff Lorenzo will draft an ordinance about the new three-way stop sign.
