Harold Wayne and Geraldine Burnett of Scipio will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in North Vernon. All friends and family are welcome to attend.

Harold Burnett and the former Geraldine Dunaway were married Dec. 15, 1965, at English Christian Church in English.

The couple have three children, Chris Burnett of North Vernon, Wes Burnett of Shelbyville and Angie Rowlett of North Vernon; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild on the way.

He retired from Cummins Engine Co. after 30-plus years as an electronics engineer. He served in the U.S. Army for four years.

She is a homemaker and is active at Crossroads Community Church.
