Larry Joe and Donna Nichter Wente recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner cruise in Louisville.

The couple were married Oct. 2, 1965, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour, with the Rev. Victor Mack officiating.

He retired from Cummins Engine Co. in 1996 and is a full-time farmer.

She has been employed with Orscheln Farm and Home for 12 years.

The couple have two daughters, Christy (Leon) Pottschmidt and Linda (Chris) Smith; and six grandchildren, Mackenzie Allman, Lydia Pottschmidt, Mason Pottschmidt, Parker Smith, Olivia Smith and Maddie Smith.
