A Scott County woman faces a charge of theft after police said she stole items from a Seymour store.
On Wednesday afternoon, Seymour Police Department contacted the Indiana State Police Sellersburg Post requesting troopers to be on the lookout for a red Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Angela D. Couch, 36, of Austin, after she reportedly stole items from Orscheln Farm & Home, 1501 E. Tipton St.
About 2:40 p.m., Trooper Tracy Spencer saw a vehicle on Pearl Street in Austin matching the description given by Seymour police. Spencer made a traffic stop and recovered a pair of Carhartt pants and a hammock taken from the store.
The stolen items were returned to Orscheln, and Couch was taken to the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown, where she was being held without bond.
