Robert and Dena Schafstall of Seymour plan to spend the day with family to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. They also are planning a camping trip to the Great Smoky Mountains.

Robert and the former Dena Hoevener were married July 25, 1965, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church by Pastor V. Paul Heine.

He retired from Cummins Inc. after 37 years of service, while she is a self-employed cosmetologist.

The couple have two children, Michael Schafstall of Carmel and Shannon Alexander of Columbus, and two grandchildren.
