Emily Nicole Odio and Nicholas Robert Sutton, both of Wingate, North Carolina, plan to marry at 6 p.m. July 3 at the Alexander Homestead in Charlotte, North Carolina. The reception will follow the ceremony.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Cesar and Mary Kay Odio of Miami.

The future groom is the son of Dennis and Paula Sutton of Seymour.

She is a 2006 graduate of Miami Killian High School and a 2010 graduate of Wingate University with a bachelor’s degree in American studies. She also is a 2014 graduate of the University of South Florida with a master’s degree in college student affairs. She is currently employed at Wingate University as assistant director of residence life.

He is a 2006 graduate of Seymour High School and a 2011 graduate of IUPUI with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. He also is a 2013 graduate of the University of South Florida with a master’s degree in college student affairs. He is currently employed at Wingate University as assistant director of student involvement.
