Karl and Catherine Turmail will celebrate their 60th anniversary April 29, 2015.

The couple were married at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vallonia by H.M. Hansen, who is deceased.

In honor of their parents, their children are conducting an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at W.R. Ewing, 1105 W. Spring St., Brownstown. No gifts, please, just cards and well wishes.

The Turmails have three children, Randall (Michelle) Turmail of Vallonia, Steven (Shannon) Turmail of Vallonia and Sharon (Philip) Pottschmidt of Brownstown, and are the grandparents of Christin, Jason and Jeffrey Turmail, Michael (Crista) Turmail, Sarah Turmail and Wesley, Megan and Levi Pottschmidt. The couple also have two stepgranddaughters, Leslie (William) Holder and Rachel (D.J.) Rouse, and a third, Heather Lee, who is deceased. They also have three great-grandchildren, Kaylen Turmail and Liam and Charlotte Holder.
