Six players from Brownstown Central recently received 2014 Class 3A All-State football honorable mention honors for their work on the gridiron.

The Associated Press recognized Braves’ quarterback Clay Brown, wide receiver Jacob Wilson, offensive lineman Darrell Branaman, kicker Syller Lewis, defensive lineman Caleb Wischmeier and linebacker Noah Cotten.

Brownstown Central posted a 10-1 record this season, losing in sectional play to Charlestown on Oct. 31.
