Grace Meyer collected 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Seymour girls basketball team to a 38-24 victory over Floyd Central on the road Thursday night.
Kendall Sterling had 13 points and added 5 rebounds after the Owls got off to a quick 10-2 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Grace Schrader contributed 7 points and another 5 rebounds for Seymour, now 5-5.
The Owls displayed tight defense throughout the night. After limiting the hosts to 2 points in the opening period, Seymour held Floyd Central under 10 points in each of the other three quarters, as well.
Other Seymour scorers were Alyssa Perry and Brooke Trinkle reach with 3 points.
