The Seymour Oktoberfest prince and princess contest is sponsored by Beta Kappa Chapter of ESA. This year’s contest will be at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Schwätzer’s North Stage. The contestants are, from left, Alexandria Perez, 7, daughter of Andrea Bray and Alfredo Perez; Abigail Wiese, 7, daughter of Christina Wiese and Hank Linville; and Ava Marie Kay Lewis, 8, daughter of Keisha and Bobby Lewis. ESA has sponsored the contest since its inception. Funds raised through the contest are sent back out to the community to various organizations. Last year, the contest supported The Arc of Jackson County, Special Olympics Indiana Jackson County, Anchor House Family Assistance Center and Pantry, Community Provisions of Jackson County, Jackson County GAL/CASA, Turning Point Domestic Violence Services, Jamestown Apartments food pantry, Jackson County United Way, Easter Seals and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
