Delta Kappa Gamma met Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Central Christian Church in Seymour.

President Janice Brock welcomed the 27 members. Olga Otte led the group in singing “If you are Happy and you Know it.” The membership thanked the Loyal Devoir Ladies of the church for the meal and Carolyn Bridges gave the invocation.

Brock congratulated Jackson County Chamber of Commerce “Teacher of the Year” winners, Karen Ault, Brownstown Central Middle School, and Karen Brigdon, Seymour High School.

Karen Ault gave the treasurer’s report and Connie Gerth read the minutes from the May 2024 meeting.

Brock reminded the members dues for 2024-2025 are due. Gerth presented “Glad you came gifts” to Bridges, Rose Miller and Susan Harrison — the highlight being Bridges drawing her own name. A gift also was presented to Jeanne Schneider in appreciation for serving as president the last four years.

Ault passed out “Getting to Know You” papers and the members circulated to fill the different blocks on their papers.

Brock thanked the committee for the evening, Bridges, Sandy Mellencamp and Laurinda Isaacs, and announced the Oct. 15th meeting will be at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Seymour. Following the dinner that evening, the members will be given a tour of the Seymour Museum Center
