A Jackson County woman was arrested on an operating while intoxicated charge Saturday morning after a traffic stop near Columbus.

Hollie Martinez, 41, of Seymour was arrested after the traffic stop initiated by Bartholomew County Officer Adam Warner.

Warner reported he saw a motorist in a Honda Accord driving south on State Road 11, south of State Road 46, and stopped the vehicle after learning the license plate on it was expired.

That stop, reported at 3:02 a.m. Saturday, occurred in the 800 block of Jonesville Road.

Martinez was booked into the Bartholomew County Jail in Columbus and was being held on $2,500 bond.

County Officer Adam De Both assisted.
