BROWNSTOWN

Phyllis Jean Hiatt, 82, of Brownstown, formerly of Anderson, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016, at her residence.

She was born April 25, 1934, in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.

Phyllis was a homemaker and was baptized Methodist.

Survivors include her son, Stephen (Connie) Hiatt of Brownstown; two daughters, Cathy (Stan) Nolting of Greensburg and Linda (Mark) Sherman of Indianapolis; stepdaughter, Joyce Hiatt of Muncie; brother, Meril “Butch” (Mary) Hedrick of Lapel; sister, Thelma Muterspaugh of Anderson; seven grandchildren, Christopher (Kara) Hiatt, Jennifer (Jeff) Dettmer, Travis (Lexie) Nolting, Taylor Nolting, Matthew Sherman, Aaron Sherman and Kelly (Jason) Hall; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by mother, Eva Hedrick; stepfather, Russell Hedrick; husband, John Albert Hiatt; and sister, Connie Jones.

The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, with grandson Christopher Hiatt officiating. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
