A Seymour High School student recently served as a page at the Statehouse in Indianapolis.

As a House page, Morgan Boas of Seymour, had the chance to tour government offices and help staff with daily duties. She also served with state District 89 Rep. Cindy Kirchhofer, R-Beech Grove, on the House floor.

Four other local students also served as pages for state District 69 Rep. Jim Lucas, R-Seymour, during the recently completed session.

They are Alyna Alvarado and Jessica Sanchez, both of Seymour, who attend Seymour Middle School; Nathaniel Claycamp of Seymour, who attends Trinity Lutheran High School; and Nigel Cooper of Seymour, who attends Northside Middle School.

The page program is open to Hoosier students ages 13 to 18.
