Donald Culp, age 87, of Seymour, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, November 13, 2023.
Mr. Culp was a faithful member of Rockford Community Church for over 60 years.
Don retired from Cummins Engine Co. after 30 years of service, and he also worked at Gerwin Shoe Factory for 15 years.
Born on January 20, 1936, in Paducah, Kentucky, Don was the son of Ona and Maude (McAllister) Culp, both of whom preceded him in death. On July 2, 1955, at Rockford Methodist Church he married Jeanne Findley, and she survives in Seymour.
Survivors also include three daughters: Dee Plumer of Seymour, Bridget White of Seymour, and Erin (Esko) Rantanen of Naperville, Illinois; one sister, Jewell Mack of Napoleon; seven grandchildren: John (Shauna) Plumer, Brian Plumer, Tyler (Nicole) Plumer, Brittany (Josh) Weatherbee, Brooke (Tim) Northam, Susanna Rantanen, and Rebekka Rantanen; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Shirley Culp; and brother-in-law, Larry Pindell.
Mr. Culp was also preceded in death by nine siblings: James Culp, Ernestine Beineke, Glen Culp, Billy Mac Culp, Charles Culp, Geraldine Cordry, Ranal Culp, Judy Pindell and Dennis Culp.
Funeral services for Donald Culp will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Rockford Community Church with Pastor Dawn Barnes officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the church.
Memorials may be given to Rockford Community Church, Women of Faith.
