Seymour

The Owls faced Silver Creek on Friday in Seymour’s third straight road game to open the 2023 season.

The girls won their first game 49-14 over Southport before defeating Salem by 36 to get out to a 2-0 start.

Seymour dropped the matchup with Silver Creek 42-34, falling to 2-1 on the season and will have their first home game today against Greenwood.

The Owls were led by Journee Brown, who scored 14 points to lead all scorers. Kendall Sterling finished with 12 in the losing effort. Kenzie Gagner and Emmy Munson had three apiece.

The matchup today starts at 1:30 p.m. with JV playing at noon. The Owls JV team won 40-34 over the Dragons before the varsity game Friday.
