Crothersville

The Tigers hosted Jac-Cen-Del on Monday, dropping the match 6-25, 8-25, 20-25.

Crothersville fell to 3-17 on the season. The Tigers now head to Trinity Lutheran tonight to face the Cougars. The match will start at 6 p.m.

Medora

The Hornets grabbed a victory on Monday against Clarksville. Medora swept the opposition on the road in three sets, winning 25-23, 25-7, 25-13.

Medora is back in action tonight against Rock Creek at 6 p.m.

Boys tennis

Brownstown Central

The Braves traveled to Charlestown on Monday to compete in boys tennis, winning the matchup 3-2.

The win was the seventh in a row for Brownstown, including a fifth straight Mid-Southern Conference win.

Jackson Snelling of Charlestown defeated Smith Hackman 6-2, 6-2. Brownstown won the rest of the singles matches. No. 2 Pierson Wheeler defeated Maddox Warren 6-3, 6-2. No. 3 Lane Steward downed Leyton Guerensey 6-2, 6-2.

In doubles, Trevor Rothbauer and Ryan Sipes of Charlestown defeated Chase Brock and Evan Schneider 6-4, 7-6 (8-6). Max Peters and Brady Davis won the second doubles matchup to clinch the victory, winning, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4.

The Braves will host Brown County tonight at 5 p.m. Brownstown now sits at 9-5 on the season.

Seymour

The Owls competed in the Hoosier Hills Conference tournament on Monday, traveling to Floyd Central. The Highlanders defeated Seymour 5-0.

In singles action, Ben Lanmert downed Joe Schmidt 6-1, 6-1. No. 2 Riley Doddridge secured a victory over Parker Thompson 6-0, 6-0. No. 3 Preston Bickel defeated Carter Stein 6-2, 6-3. In the doubles matches, Alex Eichenberger and Joseph Howell won the match over Shun Takeuchi and Joel Stevens 6-2, 6-2. In the second contest, Luke Allen and Brady Bilsland downed Drew Handloser and Xavier DuBois 7-5, 7-6.

The Owls will get some time off and prepare for their meeting Monday at Columbus North at 4:30 p.m.

Boys soccer

Seymour

The Owls were back in action against Lawrenceburg on Saturday in Seymour. The boys were able to come out with a 2-1 win.

David Polbito recorded the first score for the Owls in the 68th minute. The second goal came from Juan Fernandez. Evan Unterseher recorded an assist in the win.

Seymour improved to 6-5-1 on the season. Lance Hubbard also recorded two saves in the victory.

Seymour travels to Jennings County on Thursday to face the Panthers. The game is scheduled to take place at 5:30 p.m.

Girls soccer

Seymour

The Owls traveled to South Dearborn on Saturday to face the Knights. South Dearborn defeated Seymour 2-0.

Elizabeth Trueblood secured 10 saves in the net for the Owls.

The girls fell to 3-9-1 on the season and remain at 1-2-1 in the Hoosier Hills Conference.

Seymour will host Jennings County tonight at 5:30 p.m. JV will start with the varsity game following at 7 p.m.
