Connie Jo Maschino, 72, of Seymour, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Indiana University Methodist Health Center in Indianapolis. She was born on October 16, 1950, in Seymour, the daughter of Robert James and Angus (Ross) Whitson. On February 22, 1969, she married Jerry Maschino and he survives.

In addition to her husband Jerry, Connie is survived by two children, Tricia (Steve Jr.) Mettert of Seymour and Andrew (Heather) Maschino of Paris, IL; six grandchildren, Clayton, Haden, Claire, Jacob, Chelsea, and Courtney; two great grandchildren, Evelyn, and Lily. Connie is also survived by her beloved Maltese Ernie as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Connie was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters.

Connie was a high school graduate of Seymour High School. After graduating she went on to work numerous jobs throughout the Seymour area. She worked in Manufacturing where she was a supervisor and as a cafeteria worker for the Seymour School District. Most of all Connie enjoyed crocheting, reading, and traveling but most important to her was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023, at 11a.m. at the Voss and Son’s Funeral Home in Seymour with Rev. James Rodriquez, Jr. officiating. The family will meet friends from 9 a.m. until the time of services on Monday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
