FREETOWN

Tammie Sue Jones, age 51, of Freetown, IN, passed away on Sunday March 26, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Tammie was born in Connersville, Indiana on October 23, 1971.

She was united in marriage to Cary G. Jones in 1994. They started dating when she was 15 and they enjoyed 35 years together, 27 as husband and wife, prior to her passing. Tammie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a lover of all animals especially her goat. She lived a simple life and treasured the time she spent with her grandson and family.

Tammie’s memory and love will be cherished by her husband, Cary; son Hunter J. Jones; and grandson, Forrest Jones. She will be thought of often by her very close friend who she thought of as a sister, Barbara Day; father and mother in law, James and Sylvia Jones; sister in law, Pennie McCreery and brother in law, Sonny (Frances) Jones; step brother, Jared (Leah) Washam; nieces and nephews, Travis (Autumn) Bischoff, Vanessa Bischoff, Tyler Rohler, Samantha (Joey) Lephew, Morgan (Danielle) McCreery, Trae McCreery, Matthew Jones, Adam Jones, Danny (Becca) Jones and Mackenzie Jones as well as several great nieces and nephews.

Tammie is preceded in death by a son, Brandon Cole Jones who passed May 28, 2022.

Family and friends may gather on Friday March, 31, 2023 at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville, IN from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor John Mains at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Orange North Cemetery.
