United Way seeks Day of Caring volunteers, projects

Jackson County United Way’s 27th annual Day of Caring will be May 9.

The organization is seeking projects and volunteers to make this cross-county day a success. Projects are completed for residents of all ages and nonprofit organizations. Examples of past projects include landscaping, painting and cleaning, but other ideas are considered, too.

Interested volunteers can sign up individually or with a group. For groups, each person in a group should fill out the registration form. United Way will be in touch to coordinate volunteers and project sites by the end of April.

Last year, there were more than 330 volunteers, and United Way hopes to increase that number in 2023.
