Six nonprofit organizations were recognized for their work in the community during the Jackson Lodge 146 Free & Accepted Masons’ annual Sweetheart Banquet on Feb. 11 at The Pines Evergreen Room south of Seymour. Jackson Lodge 146 Free & Accepted Masons’ annual Sweetheart Banquet was Feb. 11 at The Pines Evergreen Room south of Seymour.
There were approximately 210 members and guests in attendance, and 23 gift cards to local businesses were given as door prizes.
Three members of the Ladies for Liberty from Louisville, Kentucky, provided the entertainment. The troupe is known for singing for Honor Flights for veterans to Washington, D.C.
Six nonprofit organizations, Community Provisions of Jackson County, Community Diner, Reins to Recovery, The Alley, Shriners Hospitals for Children and Schofield House 1818 U.D., were recognized for their work in the community and were honored with donations totaling $14,400 from the lodge to assist with that work.
