Kenneth (Ken) Eugene Foster, 64, of Ellendale, ND, and formerly Seymour, IN. passed away unexpectedly, on February 3, 2023, at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital.

Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook.

Kenneth Eugene Foster was born August 12, 1958, to Albert K. and Betty (Wheeler) Foster in Seymour, IN. Ken attended school there and graduated from Seymour High School in 1976. Following high school, Ken enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1976. He served for four years. He then returned to Seymour, IN, where he met the love of his life, Joy Gonzalez. The couple was united in marriage at Ratcliff Grove Christian Church on November 29, 1980. They were blessed with three children; Raul, Juan, and Erika.

Ken re-enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1985 and continued to serve until retirement, as a Dedicated Crew Chief, on March 1, 2001. Following retirement, Ken and his wife moved to Ellendale, ND. They enjoyed spending time with their grandkids and gardening together. Ken had many hobbies including watching sports, building models, model railroading, and collecting aliens, drums, and vintage radios.

Grateful for having shared Ken’s life are his wife Joy Foster of 42 years, two sons: Raul (Angel) Gonzalez and Juan Gonzalez; one daughter, Erika (Eric) Foster-Elhard; eight grandchildren: Trinity, Angelina, Elijah, Emerson, Ashtin, Tristan, Mila, Ezequial; his mother Betty Foster; three sisters: Katie (Steve) Ashcraft, Jennifer Mathis, Julie Freese; one sister-in-law, Janet Persinger; and his beloved cat, Pee Wee.

He was preceded in death by his father Albert K. Foster and brother-in-law Mike Mathis.
