COLUMBUS, IN

Ann Akemon beloved life partner of Ron Hawkins passed away at IU Health University Hospital on January 31, 2023. She was a graduate of Washington Catholic High School and attended Purdue University and Vincennes University. She pursued her passion in auto sales and enjoyed a fulfilling employment at Bob Poynter Chevrolet for over 23 years. Ann also had a great passion for family and animals and was a German Shepard dog breeder. Whatever Ann did in life she always managed to lift other’s spirits with goodness and love and was a joy to know. She will be deeply missed by family, friends and all others that knew her.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Rita (Towey) Kramer. She is survived by her son Bradley Parks, stepson Derrick Akemon, her grandchildren Briar, Sylis and Blake, Braylyn, and Matthew, her brothers Ernie and Sharon (Michel) Kramer; Wayne and Amy (Javier) Kramer, her sisters Terri (Kramer) and Dennis Hildebrand; Marie (Kramer) and Norbert Stransky, her life partner Ron Hawkins, her nephews and nieces Bob, Brian, Ben, Julie, Ryan, Adam, Shawn, Matthew, Austin, and Noah.

A Celebration of Ann’s life will take place on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, at 118 East 2nd Street, Seymour, IN 47274 from 1 PM to 4 PM. All who were touched by Ann are welcome.
