Cynthia “Cindy” Jo Harris Sanders, age 62, a native of Seymour, Indiana and a resident of Freetown, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023 in Columbus, Indiana. She was born on July 27, 1960 to the late Alonzo Harris Sr. and the late Shirley (Buster) Harris. She was a member of Easyville Pentecostal Church.

Cindy will forever be remembered as a meek, mild, kind peacemaker who was very sweet. She was a hard worker and worked for over 25 years at Nippon Steel in Seymour, Indiana. Cindy has a very special place in her heart for the Word of God and knew it well. In her younger years, she enjoyed camping and fishing and loved the outdoors.

Above all that she loved in this life, nothing compared to the love she had for her family and her dog “Toby”.

She is survived by her husband of over 22 years, Jason Sanders of Freetown, Indiana. Two sons, Michael “Mikey” LeMarr Jr. and his wife Bobbie Zellars – LeMarr of Brownstown, Indiana and Jason LeMarr and his wife Sara of Seymour, Indiana. Four Brothers, Alonzo “Lonny” Harris Jr. of Easyville, Indiana, Gary Harris and his wife Alvonna of Crothersville, Indiana, Jeffrey “Jeff” Harris of Freetown, Indiana and Michael Harris and his wife Dina of Norman, Indiana. Five sisters, Shelley Arrowood and her husband Rick of Crothersville, Indiana, Kathy Foist and her husband Jeff of Freetown, Indiana, Karen Harris and her friend Cecilia Hicks of Scottsburg, Indiana, Mary Walker and her husband Steve of Columbus, Indiana, and Shannon Julian and her husband Rickey of Seymour, Indiana.

Eight grandchildren, Tristan LeMarr, Jacob Ray LeMarr, Andrew Joseph LeMarr, Brayden Lee LeMarr, Grace Ann LeMarr, Nadia Dominguez, Adriel Dominguez and Grace Burton.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Christensen Family Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Bro. Brien Stout officiating. She will be laid to rest at Spraytown Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Easyville Pentecostal Church or Spraytown Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
