SEYMOUR

Doris June Morgan Spicer, age 87, a native and resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Seymour Crossing. She was born on June 4, 1935 to the late Clyde Morgan and the late Sarah (Bryant) Morgan. Doris was a Christian by faith. Doris will forever be remembered a feisty, strong willed lady that always spoke her mind. She was sweet, loving, kind, caring and loved her family very much, especially her grand and great grand children. She enjoyed sewing quilts and blankets. She was the worlds biggest IU basketball fan and loved Christmas time. She had quite the Santa Clause collection. She enjoyed Gatlinburg and riding her scooter over the pedestrian bridge in Louisville.

She is survived by her two sons, Jeff Berry and his wife Tammy of Seymour, Indiana and Billy Ray Spicer of Seymour, Indiana. Three daughters, Debra Rollins of Medora, Indiana, Michelle Spicer of Seymour, Indiana and Melody Terry of Scottsburg, Indiana. Eighteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Michael Spicer, one grand daughter, Latasha Spicer and two son-in-laws, Bernie Rollins and Jeffery Terry.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 AM at Christensen Family Funeral Home with Funeral Services beginning at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Pastor John Moore will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery.
