Fleetwood Mac tribute band to perform in Jennings County

Park Theatre Civic Centre in North Vernon is hosting a tribute to Fleetwood Mac at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 21.

The band Back 2 Mac will perform in concert at the nonprofit theater, 25 N. Madison Ave. Tickets are $20.

Formerly known as Rumours, the seven-piece group includes musicians from Louisville, Kentucky, and other areas. Bass player Tim Halcomb, a Dupont native, formerly played with Night Sky, a North Vernon-based rock band, in the 1980s and ’90s.

Back 2 Mac is known for its popular renditions of classic Fleetwood Mac songs such as “Gypsy,” “Landslide,” “Over My Head,” “Go Your Own Way” and more. The show will include a special tribute to the late Christine McVie, who was a songwriter, keyboardist and vocalist with Fleetwood Mac.

“It’ll be a welcome sight to be back close to home and the friendly folks in North Vernon,” Halcomb said. “The Park Theatre is a special place that will amaze those who have never been there. There is not a bad seat in the house.”

Tickets are available in advance at the theater box office and also will be sold at the door on the night of the concert. The box office is open from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
