Oktoberfest announces apparel logo contest

Seymour Oktoberfest Inc. in partnership with the Seymour Noon Lions Club is having a logo contest for the 50th anniversary design for the Oktoberfest shirts that are sold.

To enter the contest, which is open to ages 13 and older, participants should submit their original entry online at seymouroktoberfest.com/logo-contest.

Entries must contain appropriate themes expressing Bavarian or German culture and traditions and be creative and appropriate for public use. They also must include the words “Seymour Oktoberfest” and “50th anniversary.” Contestants should take time to research Bavarian/German culture and the history of the Oktoberfest, as the theme has the highest weighting in the judging process.

Full contest rules may be found on the website.

The entry deadline is noon March 1. The winner will be announced on or before April 28 after both boards of directors have had a chance to review and discuss.

The winner will receive a minimum $250 cash prize, social media recognition and spotlight for their winning design. The winning logo also will be showcased on promotional material during the following year.
