SEYMOUR

Marilyn Jean Blevins, 89, passed away on Tuesday January 10, 2023, at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour. Born in Seymour, she graduated from Brownstown High School in 1951. On August 1, 1954, she married Ronald L “Puck” Blevins at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour.

Marilyn worked in the family auto repair business, Puck’s, Inc, for many years as a bookkeeper, and had previously worked for McNutt Jewelers, Seymour National Bank, Redding School, and JP Battery Shops. Marilyn had a passion for home d?cor and enjoyed collecting Royal Daulton figurines. She played bridge and Euchre with various groups throughout her life.

Strong in her Christian faith, she was a long-time member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Seymour, where she sang in the choir and was involved in many church activities.

Survivors include her husband; brothers, Irving “Nippy” (Carol) Schneider Jr, Gary (Leah) Schneider, both of Seymour; one son, Ryan Kim (Jane) Blevins, Seymour; and one granddaughter, Jessica Ann Blevins, Bloomington.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Irving and MaryBelle (Barkman) Schneider and one brother, Wayne (RuthAnn) Schneider.

Visitation will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 504 N Walnut St, Seymour, IN 47274 on Saturday January 14, 2023, from 11-1PM. A funeral service will follow at 1PM at the church.
