SEYMOUR, INDIANA

Shannon Dale Allman, 55 of Seymour passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 at his home. He was born August 7, 1967 in Seymour to Harry L. and Patricia June Morrison Allman. He served in the US Army and was stationed at Ft. Benning, Georgia. Shannon was a skilled mechanic and handyman and was known as a jack of all trades to his family and friends. He was a long-haul truck driver and most recently worked at Engine Air as an Engine Machine Assembler. He will be remembered for his kind heartedness and his love of candy and classic 80’s rock music.

Shannon is preceded in death by his grandparents, Oral and Lavera Morrison and Lois and Everette Allman, his father, Harry “Butch” Allman, brothers, Darren and David Allman, stepfather, Daniel Deppe and stepbrother, Darren Deppe. Surviving to cherish Shannon’s memories are his son, Greggory Allman, his mother, Patricia Morrison, his sister, Christine Staley, two brothers, Douglas Allman and Donny Allman, grandson, Jaxon Allman, nephews and nieces, Jacob Lane, Lara Lane, Savannah Staley, Brittany Gay, Piper Gay, Vincent Jeffers and stepdaughters, Chantel Wolf, and Kristi Wolf.

Friends may visit with Shannon’s family from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, January 6, 2023 at Burkholder Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, 419 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour. Military honors will be performed at 5:00 pm.
