BROWNSTOWN

Jill L. Peters, age 58, of Brownstown, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Jill was employed at Valeo as a team leader.

She loved spending time with her family and friends and especially with her dog, Fat Boy. She also loved the outdoors. Jill enjoyed working in her flowers, gardening, mowing her yard, weed eating, hiking, and being in the woods. Her hobbies included riding her motorcycle and bird watching.

Jill was a kind and compassionate person. She never judged anyone. She was a courageous fighter in her battle with cancer until the end. Jill will be missed but never forgotten.

Born on September 1, 1964, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Leon Peters and Wanda Fisher Peters Garriott. Her father survives in Medora, and her mother survives in Brownstown.

Survivors also include one son, Ryan (Emma) Doty of McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey; stepmother, Sharon Peters, of Medora; stepfather, William Garriott, of Brownstown; one brother, Jeffrey (Cindy) Peters of Vallonia; uncle, Gary Fisher, of Medora; nephew, Shane Peters; niece, Jessica Harmeyer; and stepsister, Amber Russell.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring staff at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown.
