Seymour man arrested for sexual battery

A Seymour man was arrested after it was discovered he had engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with a minor, police report.

On Monday, investigators with the Seymour Police Department received a preliminary report of child abuse and neglect from the Indiana Department of Child Services, Lt. C.J. Foster said in a news release.

It was reported that a 15-year-old female had been touched in a sexual manner by a 38 year-old male while he had been drinking. Interviews were conducted with the victim and the suspect, Daniel Clemente-Teodosio, 38.

Police said the victim confirmed to them that she had been inappropriately touched by Clemente-Teodosio.

During the investigatory interview with Clemente-Teodosio on Wednesday, he admitted to officers he had touched the victim in a sexual manner, police said.

Clemente-Teodosio was arrested by investigators for sexual battery, a Level 6 felony.

He was taken to the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown and booked in at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
