The 77th annual Christmas Basket Fund grew to $5,995 on Friday thanks to recent donations totaling $650.

Those donations are:

In loving memory of Aden Jones Jr., Edith Barlow and Delores (Jean) Wheatley, $100, from Kevin and Karen, Kayla, Devin and Ridley, Kenzi and Steven

In loving memory of loved ones, $100, Joe and Donna Wente

Merry Christmas, $100, from John and Helen Nolting

In memory of Rick Bane, $100, from Brenda, Valerie, Joe, Lauren, Bill, Sara, Luke, Jude and Eleanor

In memory of my wife Faye Tidd, my parents and grandparents, $100, from Buddy Tidd

Requests for assistance will be accepted through Dec. 15. To receive a gift card, people must live in Jackson County and submit a letter stating their need for assistance. Requests should be mailed to American Legion Basket Fund, P.O. Box 566, Seymour, IN 47274.

Donations may be mailed to or dropped off at American Legion Post 89, The Tribune or any JCBank branch.
