The 77th annual Christmas Basket Fund grew to $4,040 on Tuesday thanks to recent donations totaling $675.
Those donations are:
In memory of deceased members, $300, from the Kiwanis Club of Seymour
In loving memory of my parents Robert and Dorothy Kilgas and brothers Al and Bob, $50, from Jenny Pridgen
In memory of Mary Lou Carr, $25, from Donna Moore
Merry Christmas to my Kuklenski family in Colorado, $100, from Grandma Donna
In loving memory of Donnie Cooper, $100, from Janet, Craig, Suzi, Aspen, Colt, Cruz, Chad, Kimberly, Lucy, Flossie and Josie
Merry Christmas, $100, from Edward and Kathleen Mead
Requests for assistance will be accepted through Dec. 15. To receive a gift card, people must live in Jackson County and submit a letter stating their need for assistance. Requests should be mailed to American Legion Basket Fund, P.O. Box 566, Seymour, IN 47274.
Donations may be mailed to or dropped off at American Legion Post 89, The Tribune or any JCBank branch.
Donors may contribute anonymously if they choose or may dedicate their donations in memory or in honor of others.
