The Jackson County Council will meet at 8 a.m. Wednesday at the Jackson County Courthouse, 111 S. Main St., Brownstown.

Items on the agenda include reports from various department heads, including Sheriff Rick Meyer and an update from Jackson County Building Commissioner Conner Barnette on his efforts to improve the quality of maintenance and custodial work at the courthouse.

The meeting is open to the public and press.
