SEYMOUR

Mary Christine Smith, 96, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away November 30, 2022, at Seymour Place Community Home. She was born on December 11, 1925, to the late Isom Hamblin and Christine Burns Hamblin. She married the love of her life, the late, John W Smith on June 8, 1947.

Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seymour. She was also a member of the Rebekah Sunday School Class and formerly a member of the Missionary Circle. She was a former Deaconess at church, a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels Program, and a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Sam) Kidwell; one son, Timothy (Donna) Smith; four grandchildren, Michelle (William) Mullis, David (Amy) Smith, Christopher (Sandi) Smith, and Sammy Kidwell; eleven great grandchildren, Shelby Mullis, Gracie Mullis, Jayson Smith, Zoe, David, Brooklyn, Roxie, Cayden, Makinley, Emma, and Trinity; and one sister, Joyce (Joe) Cravens.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John W Smith; her parents; one brother, Thomas (Jean) Hamblin; two sisters, Mildred Collins, and Mona Batte; and a grandson, Doug Alan.

Visitation will be held at Voss &Sons Funeral Service on Monday December 5, 2022, from 12pm until the time of service at 2pm. Burial will follow the service at Riverview Cemetery.
