The Seymour Police Department received a report of theft of merchandise from Northside Liquors on Tuesday night.

Shortly after, the department received another report of theft of merchandise from Vick’s Liquors.

As both investigations developed, it was quickly discovered the same suspects were responsible for each incident, according to a news release from the department.

Seymour police said they quickly began patrolling in the areas of local liquor stores in search of the suspect’s vehicle, described as a silver Pontiac without a license plate.

Officers soon located a vehicle that matched that description in the parking lot of Busy Bee Liquors and apprehended all four suspects involved, identified as Dea Andren Anderson, 21, Donnicia Barnett, 23, Daisha Sargent, 21, and Porscha Germany, 28, all of Indianapolis.

The suspects were found to have stolen merchandise from Busy Bee Liquors, too, police said.

While investigating these three incidents, dispatch received an additional call for service from CVS Pharmacy for theft of merchandise, which was found to be related to the others, officers said.

In total, SPD recovered numerous items of merchandise to include 55 bottles of a variety of brands and types of alcohol amounting to more than $3,300.

All items recovered were processed and later returned to all four respective businesses.

The suspects were arrested on four counts of theft and booked into the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown.
