The Dog for You program planned at library

Professional dog trainers Suzanne Steltenpohl and Izzy Smith will present The Dog for You at 2 p.m. Dec. 10 in the meeting room at the Jackson County Public Library, 303 W. Second St., Seymour.

This program had been originally scheduled for Nov. 19. Registration is preferred for this free program by visiting or calling 812-523-4636. This program is open to all ages.

Attendees will hear what to look for to find the best fit for your lifestyle, what to expect for care and training and the commitment you make when adopting your furry family member.

Steltenpohl and Smith have provided dogs to participate in the popular Paws to Read library program. Both trainers work for Ultimate Canine, an award-winning dog training academy in Westfield, which offers puppy training, adult dog training, behavior modifications, therapy and service dogs, puppy selections and litter evaluations, temperament testing, police K-9 training and handler certifications.
