The Brownstown Exchange Club recently announced its Youth of the Month for October.
Madison Edwards, the daughter of Jason and Andrea Edwards of Vallonia, is a senior and president of the National Honor Society at Brownstown Central High School.
She also is secretary/treasurer of the German Club, a member of the Science Club and Academic Spell Bowl and Academic Super Bowl teams and is a manager for the cross-country and softball teams.
Edwards served as a drum major with the marching band, plays in the pep band and concert band and played bass clarinet as a member of the All-District Honor Band.
She also has been honored by the Small and Rural Town Recognition Program from the College Board and was named a commended student by the National Merit Scholarship Program.
Edwards plans to study architecture at Ball State University in Muncie after graduation.
