Amy Lee Ludwig, 64, of North Vernon, passed away at 2:06 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2022, at Majestic Care of North Vernon.

Born December 30, 1957, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Rodney Ludwig and Arlene (Lanzer) Ludwig.

Amy attended Immanuel Lutheran School in Seymour through her 8th grade, and she graduated from Seymour High School in 1976. Amy attended Purdue University where she studied engineering.

Amy’s two favorite things in the world were playing the piano and shopping. All of the Ludwig kids were required to learn to play the piano, but Amy was the only one who kept playing all her life. Our dad would be proud to know that. We are not quite sure where Amy got the shopping “gene”, but she sure perfected the skill.

Survivors include her brothers, Tom (Lori) Ludwig of Cincinnati, Ohio and Dan (Donna) Ludwig of Lawrenceville, Illinois; sister, Terry Cole of Carmel; stepmother, Joyce Ludwig of North Vernon; stepsisters, Lisa (Tom) Dyer of Seymour and Kelly Mills of North Vernon; niece, Halle Cole of Carmel; and seven other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation is planned with a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
