
The Loyal Devoir Society of Central Christian Church met Oct. 25 in the fellowship hall of the Seymour church.
President Janice Brock called the meeting to order. She gave devotions drawing a comparison of Christians and pumpkins, followed by prayer.
She presented each member “The Pumpkin Prayer,” a bookmark with devotions and Bible verses.
Group 1 led by Barb Bentley and her committee of Brock, Linda Rumph and Paula Stafford provided refreshments and decorations for the tables.
The group’s Christmas party will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 6 at Larrison’s Diner.
The club voted not to have the November meeting on the 22nd.
Betty Guinn gave the treasurer’s report and the money made from sorority dinners.
Each member is to bring two and a half dozen of cookies Dec. 4 to give to teachers in their lunch bags.
Money will be given to Sertoma Christmas Miracle and Hoosier Christian Village for Christmas, and gift cards will be given to the church staff.
Stafford gave out order booklets from the Nutman Company. Members are to turn orders in by Dec. 6.
Members volunteered to be on the nominating and audit committees for the end of December.
The meeting closed with the Mizpah Benediction.
