Candace “Candy” Boley Banks Hunt, 76, of Evansville, IN, died peacefully, surrounded by her family and listening to Neil Diamond on October 27, 2022 at Heart to Heart Hospice Center. She was born on July 27, 1946 in Seymour, IN.

She preceded in death by her parents, Billy L. and Ramona M. Boley and her late ex-husband, Marlon L. Banks.

Candace put great value into her education and imparted the notion of “never stop learning” to her children. She took great pride in the nursing degree she earned from Indiana University and her career as a registered nurse. She touched countless lives while working at Hoosier Christian Village (Brownstown, IN), Schneck Memorial Hospital (Seymour, IN), Bay Front Health Hospital (St. Petersburg, FL), St. Vincent Hospital (Evansville, IN) and retiring from Owensboro Health Hospital (Owensboro, KY).

Candy loved to read, especially crime and mystery stories. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. As a young girl, she even won awards for her baking skills.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Donald D. Hunt (Newburgh, IN); children Mark A. Banks (Brenda), Nederland, CO, Jeffery B. Banks, Palm Springs, CA; and Amy B. Wilsbacher (Troy), Evansville, IN; and the only grandchild, Allison Hope Wilsbacher (Cooper Fleck, fiancé). Alli was truly the light of her world.

A Memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Ben Lovell. Friends may visit Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff at River Pointe Health Campus and Heart to Heart Hospice for their care and compassion.
